Custom Sculpted to a Curved Wall Using Laser Scanning Technology
This project presented a unique challenge: sculpting a staircase to wrap seamlessly around a curved stone wall descending from the upper balcony to the landscaped garden below. To achieve millimetre precision and a perfect fit, our team employed 3D laser scanning of the existing structure.
The data was then used to model a tailor-made stringer profile, ensuring that every component—from the treads to the fixings—followed the exact curvature of the wall, without interrupting the architectural flow of the property.
