Planning to Conform
When planning this staircase, we took into account the fact that there were doors on either side of the hallway at the top. This narrowed our choice of positions where the staircase could arrive at the landing. Additionally, the roof’s pitch dips low into the corner of the room, which meant creating a design to ensure enough headroom to conform to UK Staircase Building Regulations.
Glass Balustrade
With the Glass Balustrade providing a handrail on the inside of the staircase, a section of glass at the top only needed to serve as a barrier and could be finished under the ceiling. This allows us to maximise the usable width of the staircase, ensuring comfortable use for all.
L Shaped Treads and LED Stair Lights
These high-quality oak L-shaped treads give your stairs a deep, stylish profile while still complying with the 100mm rule. By using the L as an upstand at the back of the treads, we were able to install LED stair lights above while still providing enough clearance to illuminate the treads below. The result is a stunningly illuminated staircase.
